Earthing Faith is a network to resource and encourage churches and individuals in the Diocese of Oxford as we connect our faith with the earth.

The network is resourced both online through this website and through physical gatherings.

Physical gatherings take place three times a year and help people share experiences, reflect on environmental issues, explore spiritual practices and resources, and hear from guest speakers and environmental projects from across the diocese and beyond.

In 2014 the focus for Earthing Faith gatherings will be resources to help explore environment related issues in a parish, with particular focus on resources for worship. There will be three gatherings – in Oxford, Reading and Aylesbury.

Each gathering will include a brief introduction by the area bishop, followed by showcasing of resources churches have found useful and examples of how they are approaching environment issues. There will then be a break for coffee to network and connect around the resources shared, and a closing act of worship that engages us in nature and environment issues.

The 2014 dates are:

7.30-9.30pm, Thursday 9th October 2014 – with Bishop Alan at St Mary’s C of E Church, Aylesburybook here
