Water Justice – Creation Time 2013

Searching for safe water

The Churches Together in Britain and Ireland have one again out together new resources for Creation Time 2013 – this year the theme is ‘water justice’.

The resource includes materials for a service, Bible notes (that use Amos 5.24 and John 4.15 (the woman at the well) as a starting point, as well as pointing to other biblical resources), and a Virtual water cube activity demonstrating how much water it takes to produce many of the foods we eat regularly.

They say:

The two speakers reflect John Stott’s passion for relating God’s word to God’s world, and are Revd Dr Chris Wright, International Ministries Director of Langham Partnership International, and David Nussbaum, Chief Executive of WWF UK. Together they will share their immense knowledge of biblical theology and today’s conservation world.

Tickets are now on sale at £9 online from and include light refreshments after the lecture. Tickets entitle the bearer to ½ price admission to ZSL London Zoo on the day (details will be provided when tickets are purchased). Please note that the Zoo closes at approximately 4pm, with the last admission an hour before. Tickets will be £10 on the door if any are still available, but we anticipate high demand and encourage early online booking.

The lecture is being organised by A Rocha International in partnership with A Rocha UK, All Souls Langham Place (John Stott’s church), LICC (the London Institute for Contemporary Christianity, founded by John Stott), and Langham Partnership International (founded by John Stott).
