The Chiltern Gateway Project (an A Rocha Associated Project) is organising a special weekend of events on June 10th – 12th 2011. The weekend activities aim to help people explore their faith by caring for and enjoying God’s world, and include:
Friday 10th June:
7.00pm (Village Centre, Chinnor) A Rocha UK’s Andy Lester “Faith, The Universe and Everything.” A talk exploring the links between faith and conservation. Refreshments available.
Saturday 11th June:
6.30 am - A guided Dawn Chorus, with Andy Lester. Meet at Chinnor Hill BBOWT nature reserve, Hill Top Lane. Afterwards breakfast can be purchased at the Chinnor Village Centre (jo@simonwhitfield.plus.com to book breakfast)
10.00am – 3.00pm Visit A Rocha at the Friends of the Earth Green Fayre and Bike Exchange, Village Hall, Chinnor
8.30pm - Bats in the Belfry! Learn about bats and try your hand at bat detecting at St. Andrew’s church, Chinnor – children welcome.
Sunday 12th June:
10.00am St. Andrew’s Church – A short family friendly service focusing on ‘Just food?’ – followed by children’s activities and refreshments.
